Woah liz is back. College definitely keeps one busy..but writing is important. I've even been slacking off with my regular written journal, so hopefully writing in my xanga/and ujournal will keep me on track. Good ol' Bryn Mawr. Don't have much to say about it. Not terrific not terrible. I think the bad part is that im just not taking any classes im interested in. Bio, Film and Philosophy (not as fun as it sounds), Italian (might be good if prof wasnt psycho), and lots of music classes which are fun but stressful. I'm not a fan of my voice teacher. She's like "yeah..u learned everything wrong..must start over..." im not saying shes wrong, its just..frustrating. I used to be really good..and now i suck. I dont even think I want to take lessons next semester. Its just getting to be burdensome..rather than something thats fulfilling.

Not much else is goin on..busy as usual..chorale, debate, chamber singers, prelaw, ahhh. but thats how i like to be. im procrastinating..should be at the library either writing my CSem paper on being john malkovich or studying for my Italian midterm. Argh. This weekend should be fun at least. Im going out Friday afternoon w/my friend sarah to ardmore to go shopping, and then going out with brian after most likely, and then saturday is the huge BMC party of the year..rhoads halloween. should be good times had by all.

So much stuff has happened in such a short span of time..stuff i cant even go into..but its crazy. Its made me realize how important my best friends are. and they know who they are, and i love them more than anything.

im at college, finally got my internet up and working recently. something was wrong with my ethernet cable or something. college is...interesting. is so different. not in a bad way, no not at all. just different.

my classes seem good so far. im taking italian, film and philosophy, biology, and as of tomorrow im starting intro to philosophy. apparently my phil professor is really hard, and we have 5 textbooks! so thats gonna be somewhat difficult. but thats ok.

hmm today had callbacks for "hamlet" and in about an hour ihave callbacks for the select choir here. im psyched. hopefully i'll get in one of them. if not, i dd get into the regular chorale so at least i have that. im trying not to have high expectations or anything, but making either of those things would be awesome. ah well. we shall see.

havent really made many friends yet. i live in a single, which is cool. all the frosh on my hall are in singles too, so we hang out sometimes. i dunno, i think people expect to go to college and instantly make like best friends. thats what i thought would happen. but alas, it doesn't. but thats ok. im happy

right so yeah, today has been a good day. last night i was pretty sad. kevin was online and we werent really talking..ive been thinking a lot about him lately, i dont know why. unfortunately im sure thats gonna happen from time to time. just part of the ending of relationships. but whatever, i have faith in God, and I know when things happen its for a reason. so that chapter of my life may have ended, but it must mean it just wasn't meant to be. i can deal with that.

went to borders last night and bought lots of cds and a dvd of a movie we have to watch for film and phil. i got a ben kweller cd, and hes really good. the other cd i got was a compilation of aaron copeland, b/c for the callback tonight we're singing a copeland folk song and i wanted to hear it. so yeah. friday night i went to the library and wrote a paper, then went skinny dipping in a fountain w/like 11 other girls (its an age old bryn mawr tradition, i believe katharine hepburn started it), and then went to a party. college parties are bizarre. but itwas interesting. a good night

Past few days:

-last performance was last night, it went really well. rock on. dad even came, despite him having pneumonia (what we thought was food poisoning)

-met kim's parents..she's kind of my sister in law. rick's wife, and rick used to be my stepbrother..although we refer to eachother as brother and sister. he's awesome, and so is kim. shes pregnant, so i'll be an aunt, which is really cool

-leave for college in 3 days....so so so psyched.

-getting a new computer tomorrow..also psyched about that.

not much else is new...nearly bought out costco today w/mom. that was fun. she even got me a new hair straightener from Ulta. I ran some errands..picked up wdw pictures, went to the supermarket coinstar machine and cashed in some old change. that was about all i did today though. i think im going to go bake some cookies

Wow, haven't updated in awhile...I leave 1 week from today, which is so weird. I know I need to leave, college is gonna be such an amazing experience. but saying goodbye to my house is hard  :( new owners best take care of it. i need to escape all the memories here that make me sad..going away will enable that.

first performance was tonight. im pleased with how i did...lots of technical stuff went wrong but the performers were all well prepared for the most part. afterwards Dana and I went to Cali Diner, and were there for 2 and a half hours...just talking. it was reallly good...she leaves tomorrow for life in the big apple. im gonna miss my danalove..but i kno we'll be  seeing eachother lots.

dads really sick w/food poisoning...in 25 years of working where he works hes never taken a sick day, and he took this whole week off to recover...he decided he cant go to the ben folds/aimee mann concert w/me cuz we have floor seats (which = standing) and hes not up to it. im bringing dana. then thursday, last personal training sesh, last performance...then my last weekend at home, then i leave tuesday.
